CHRISTMAS STORE!
Our transformation from
Garden & Gift
Centre to
Christmas Centre
begins each year in August as we condense our remaining giftware and
garden accessories into the main showroom side of the garden centre
building.
Then all the outer walls are covered with black
landscape weed barrier fabric. Temporary walls are positioned
according
to the overall layout plan,
and are given a fresh coat of black paint or landscape fabric.
Alternately, they get a skin of artificial brick or some other surface
material,
in keeping with the overall design or theme. These walls are often
strung
with icicle lights and artificial greens (garland) or other
decorations.
Christmas product normally begins arriving in July, and is usually
counted,
processed, and priced well ahead of when it will be displayed...although
some late arrivals may go straight from being priced directly to the
walls!
Ordinarily items are unpacked and displays are created through
September and October as time and staff availability allows.
The culmination of the hundreds of hours of work and amazing creative
abilities of the owners and numerous staff members is our
Annual Christmas Open House!
